A-list problem

We have a little problem in our fantasy league. This is something I should have figured would eventually happen, but I didn't and so now we have to create a solution.
Someone has chosen two A-listers this week. We need to decide how to rectify the situation.

First, I will put the name of the A-listers in a hat and pick which one will be on the team this week.

But we need to decide what to do about the empty seventh spot on the team (vacated by the A-lister not picked out of the hat). There are two options and I would like input from other members of the league by COB today.

1.) The person choosing two A-listers has to just be one player short this week.
2.) The empty spot will be filled by someone on the player's team from last week. We will put the names all of the non-A-list players not on the team this week into a hat and randomly choose a player. That player will be on this team for the week.

I am STRONGLY in favor of the second option. Since we have a system where someone can just not make a new team at all in a week and gets to use all of the players from the week before, it seems unfair to penalize someone who inadvertently chose two A-listers by forcing an empty spot on that team.

There is no issue with unfairness because of subsequent news that has come out, since the name will be randomly chosen out of a hat (I will choose and and I will have someone else in the league watch).

Please let me know your thougts by COB.

And just in case another scenario happens in the future: if someone picks a team of eight people, for instance, we will just pull a non-A-list name out of a hat to see who gets eliminated.
If someone doesn't choose enough players (putting only six on a team), the solution to that problem will be the same solution to the problem we are faced with today.
